THERE ARE SEVERAL GROUPS THAT SUPPORT ORACLE FIRE DISTRICT . . .
• THE ORACLE FIREWISE BOARD • THE ORACLE CERT TEAM • ORACLE FIRE EXPLORERS
• THERE ARE A NUMBER OF VOLUNTEER ORGANIZATIONS AS WELL THAT HELP US AND THE COMMUNITY.
After seeing the need for more involvement in our community due to the increased risk of fire, THE ORACLE FIREWISE BOARD was started in March 2005 by a group of volunteers. They created the Firewise Community Program designed to include homeowners, planners and developers, Arizona State Land and Coronado National Forest Service personnel. The goal of this program is to educate community members on how to protect people and property from the risk of wildfires before fire starts. READ MORE . . .
Oracle's Community Emergency Response Team was formed after 17 people completed a series of classes designed to teach skills in first aid, safety procedures, incident assistance, and other venues that would help the Fire Dept. and the community in an emergency. Ongoing classes and training are held as often as time allows. This group may be called upon to assist in a non-hazardous way during an emergency.
