Reserve Firefighters are people who REALLY make a difference in our community! A firefighter is a position of public trust, and requires you to be a good and honorable citizen. You must be trustworthy, honest and willing to demonstrate loyalty and reliability.
Firefighting is a profession that requires preparation through education and training.
WHAT DOES IT TAKE TO BECOME
A RESERVE FIREFIGHTER?
• You must be at least 18 years of age;
• AZ FF I&II
• Current AZ EMT
• Current CPR
• Basic WildlandCertified
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent;
• Be able to complete a Work Capacity Test;
• Be in excellent health;
• Have an Arizona driving record;
• Clean background check;
• No drug use;
In addition to these requirements, you should be professional in your approach to work, ready to respond, innovative and adaptive, dedicated to the community, and empowered to make a difference.
